Model 2 Emulator

The SEGA Model 2 was launched in 1993 with the purpose of updating the previous version of this videogame system launched by the company, being the first hardware designed to run 3D games in arcades. After great games like Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter and Wing War, it was the turn of the second generation of 3D classics that we remember today. This emulator lets you relive them.

This emulator lets you run games from the Model 2 and later updates, 2A, 2B and 2C, including games of such caliber as Daytona USA, Sega Rally Championship, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop, House of the Dead and Last Bronx, among many others. The great majority of them can be played on PC without much more effort than choosing the ROM in question.

The emulator itself does not include settings other than changing the native resolution of the games, configuring the controls and playing in full screen, but that is more than enough to enjoy these games.

Model 2 Emulator is a great alternative to emulate these SEGA systems, currently being the only viable option to do so, along with MAME.
